At the Louvre
The Louvre was most incredible. This room showcased priceless antiques and you can see the decorations were quite ornate with painted ceiling and incredible millwork and contruction you would expect for Kings and Queens.
Mona Lisa was a busy venue at the Louvre
When we arrived at the Louvre I was on a mission to find Mona Lisa. Wasn't too difficult as there were signs everywhere directing you to the room. Finally, when I arrived at the room, it was packed with eager paparazzi elbow to elbow. I was going in for a dunk shot and elbowed my way to the front and took this pic over the heads of most shorter than me.
2009 Trip to Paris
We just returned from a fabulous trip to Paris and Scotland and London. Paris was highlighted by visits to the Eiffel Towe and The Louvre where we saw countless masterpieces including the Mona Lisa. I never knew the Louvre was a Palace. The building that houses all of these works is truly magnificent. We were dropjawed the whole time.

OFF TO PARIS
We're going to Paris!!!! It's scrunch time getting things together for our trip. My carryon is ready!!! As you can see above. Hope she will fit in the overhead. All of our friends who have been say it is a wonderful city with so much to see. Can't wait to see the Louvre or some of it at least. Maybe I can pick up on some painting techniques, SURE!!! Billie is really taking the lead on getting things together. We fly to Paris and spend 5 days there, then off to Scotland to visit a friend for 5 more days, then to London for another 5 days.
