One of my main objectives was to see works by Vermeer. Well, wouldn;t you know all of the works were on tour in Japan. However, they left one and this is it!

At the Louvre

The Louvre was most incredible. This room showcased priceless antiques and you can see the decorations were quite ornate with painted ceiling and incredible millwork and contruction you would expect for Kings and Queens.

When we arrived at the Louvre I was on a mission to find Mona Lisa. Wasn't too difficult as there were signs everywhere directing you to the room. Finally, when I arrived at the room, it was packed with eager paparazzi elbow to elbow. I was going in for a dunk shot and elbowed my way to the front and took this pic over the heads of most shorter than me.

2009 Trip to Paris

We just returned from a fabulous trip to Paris and Scotland and London. Paris was highlighted by visits to the Eiffel Towe and The Louvre where we saw countless masterpieces including the Mona Lisa. I never knew the Louvre was a Palace. The building that houses all of these works is truly magnificent. We were dropjawed the whole time.
